iCONNECT "Connecting the Supply Chain" Helping with Your Value-Add The demand at all points in the supply chain to streamline the inventory search and procurement process has just taken a turn for the better with the release of iCONNECT, an Internet based product designed to make those offering this service their customers preferred supplier. The easy-to-use Multi-functional software allows the subscriber to perform a variety of tasks including job estimates, stock and price checks, account status inquiry as well as access to electronic catalogue and labor guide lookup. The result is that the sponsor may now offer their customer more value from a ONE STOP experience thereby reducing the time and effort they spend on non-productive tasks and increasing the time they have to grow their business. The software will be available for purchase or lease late 1st quarter, 2002 and will be offered in two versions. The first will come with basic ordering, catalogue lookup and buyers guide capability and the second will include the labor guide and optional iESTIMATE module. The system is designed so that it can interface to competitive systems via compliance with the Catalog Interface Standard as offered by the optional iSERVE module, also available from ams. This product provides the ability for any organization to have an electronic catalogue integrated to both internal systems as well as providing the same tool to their customers, at a very affordable price. This stand-alone component allows anybody to take advantage of iCONNECT without having to replace whatever system they currently use. |
